1. Art WorkshopÂ
Time: 10 am - 12 pm
Join us at the Art Therapy Workshop by certified Art Therapist and Counsellor, member of ANZACATA, Julianne Ashworth! Let’s celebrate our meaningful connections on a journey to finding freedom!Â
Art materials will be provided.
2. Drumming Workshop
Time: 10 am - 11:30 am
Join Caitlyn Palmer and Ezi Bortei at the drumming workshop this refugee week.
Drums will be provided.
3. Story Sharing Circles
Time: 10:30 am - 11:30 am
National Refugee Week 2024 theme is ‘Finding Freedom’ focusing on ‘Family - the significant bonds in one’s life’.Â
Story Sharing Circles are an opportunity for mainstream and refugee communities alike to celebrate the bonds that have touched their lives and can be counted as their family.
Join us to share a memorable story about a connection and its impact on your lives!
You are invited to share an inspiring story or information in small groups at the event.
- Share/Name the significant person or bond you have that has a great impact on your life
- Share why it holds a special place in your heart (How has it impacted you personally?)

Community Showcase Â
Time: 12 - 1 pm
Join us at TAFE, Mount Druitt while we celebrate those who have come from wide and far and witness the Welcome to Country, speeches from our VIP guests, and live performances!
