This conference is about bringing all of us together - active citizens, practitioners, academics, policy makers and social impact folk. We hope the conference can provide ways of checking-in, sharing news, networking, connecting and building momentum for a continued commitment to participatory development practice and social justice.

Why this Conference?

It feels like it’s well past time to organise a conference about Community Development in Victoria, the last one having been held almost 20 years ago. One of the primary reasons for holding the Conference is our small group of organisers wondering ...

Who is still out there doing genuine ‘community development’?
As a sector that values relationality, how do we reconnect, affirm the values we hold dear and build active hope for the work that lies ahead?

A gathering of active citizens, practitioners, academics, policy makers and social impact folk to check in, share news, network/connect and build momentum for a continued commitment to participatory development practice and social justice.
