Regional Conversations
Event description
You are invited to join a regional conversation that will contribute to the way in which we as a movement of Churches and Agencies live out our calling.
During my early years of ministry formation, I read Bonhoeffer’s “Life Together,” and the thought that “Christian (community) is not an ideal which we must realize; it is rather a reality created by God in Christ in which we may participate” (p30) struck deep roots for me. As a church, we display to the world who we are. Our identity is deeply embedded in the work of God, Father, Son, and Spirit. It's a reminder that we are constantly on a journey towards faithful living and fruitful serving as we listen to God and discern our future shape. So, as Paul reminds us, we are invited to actively participate to “make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit” (Eph 4:3) as we live the work of mission and ministry.
With this in mind, I am thrilled, on behalf of the CCVT Board and Staff, to extend an invitation to you to join a regional conversation on Saturday, October 18, 2025 10am-1.30pm. This gathering is an opportunity for us to come together as a Movement: Churches and Agencies, united in our mission and purpose, as we live into our new strategic direction for 2026-2030.
This regional conversation is for congregational members, leaders and pastors. It is for you.
Here's the big idea:
1 Movement 2 States 1 Conversation 8 Locations
Earlier this year, the Board consulted with churches and leaders and identified various strategic directions that will form the foundation for our conversation together.
In our season of change and challenge, the strength and unity of our movement is important to name, celebrate, and nurture. By joining this conversation, you will be part of a collective conversation that fortifies our connection and celebrate the diversity that makes us strong.
Church planting and revitalisation are critical to our mission of Gospel growth and being signs of Shalom and new life to our communities. This regional conversation will provide an opportunity to share experiences, questions and possibilities in these areas. Whether you are looking to plant a new church or breathe new life into an existing one, your insights and observations will be invaluable.
Discipleship and leadership are crucial to the health and growth of our churches and agencies. This gathering will offer opportunities to discuss effective discipleship methods and leadership development. By listening and engaging with each other, we can build effectiveness in our capacity to nurture faith, develop leaders, and grow our communities.
I have no doubt that in taking up this opportunity, that we can inspire, support, and equip each other to fulfill our shared mission.
This is more than just a meeting; it's a celebration of our shared mission and vision. Whether you're in Victoria or Tasmania, you will be able to join the conversation at one of eight locations. You will be able to register your attendance today.
