Janine Grainger: Co-founder and CEO of Easy Crypto

Janine is a kiwi-born entrepreneur and a highly respected Leader in tech. She's the co-founder and CEO of Easy Crypto, New Zealand's leading cryptocurrency trading platform.

Janine and her brother Alan established Easy Crypto in 2017 to offer a secure, simple and easy-to-understand way for everyone to get involved in the cryptocurrency market. Just four years after launching, Easy Crypto transacted over two billion dollars and supports over 250,000 users across NZ, Australia and South Africa. She also set a new record for a first funding round in NZ in 2021, raising $17M NZD.

Janine is very highly regarded in the NZ fintech sector, driving collaboration between the industry, central government, and traditional finance. She advocated on behalf of the industry in Parliament’s Finance and Expenditure Committee enquiry into regulation of cryptocurrency, sits on a number of government advisory and working groups and was invited to join the V20 virtual asset summit, convened as part of the 2022 G20.

She sits on the Executive Council for FinTechNZ, is a Wishlist Crypto Authority, a Country Champion of YPO, is a Women of Web3 Top 10 Changemaker, is about to star in a Docuseries for TVNZ and is the winner of the 2023 Hi-Tech Awards for Inspiring Individual.

Peter Taylor, Director, Specialist Supervision and Response

Peter Taylor, Director, Specialist Supervision and Response at the Financial Markets Authority has an extensive regulatory and legal background, having worked at a senior executive level in financial services and competition and economic regulation in New Zealand and overseas.

Peter assisted with the establishment of The Business Banking Resolution Service (BBRS) in the UK and in 2016 joined the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission, as Director Legal, Enforcement and Policy. He has held senior positions at New Zealand’s Commerce Commission and Customs Service.

He has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Canterbury and has been admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in New Zealand, and as a Solicitor in England and Wales.

Jonathan Frost - Independant Consultant, International

During his tenure at the City of London Police Jonathan led the development of the UK's National Fraud and Cybercrime Reporting system. Recently, he served as the Director of Technical Collaborations at Stop Scams UK, working with companies like Meta, Google, and BT to combat fraud at source.

This followed a stint with Faculty.ai, a leading provider of AI and machine learning solutions. Whilst at faculty he delivered several data science projects for the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and Home Office.
