At a pivotal moment in the energy transition, the Seminar offers a unique opportunity to engage with the regulatory challenges and opportunities emerging across a rapidly evolving energy system.

Hear from leading international experts and Australian policymakers, regulators and industry leaders as they unpack the pressures driving change and share global and local perspectives.

Under the theme Rewiring Regulation for Change, the event will explore whether and how regulatory frameworks must evolve to deliver the future energy system customers expect.

With more than 200 senior delegates attending each year, this is a must‑attend event to connect, contribute and help shape the direction of energy regulation in Australia.

The 2026 Regulation Seminar brings together leading Australian and international experts to explore how regulation can evolve to deliver the energy transition while balancing affordability, investment, customer outcomes and long-term system resilience, with insights from California's experience, Australia's regulatory leaders, consumer-focused innovation and the future of network regulation.

The seminar will be expertly hosted by Michael Dart (Director at Luminous Consulting), with Tim Edwards (Managing Director of CutlerMerz) setting the scene for the afternoon. Dominic Adams, Acting Chief Executive of Energy Networks Australia, will officially welcome delegates and open the seminar.
