REH liquids X Trashie Clothing Exchange

Trashie Clothing Exchange is coming to REH Liquids. 

Join us for an evening clothing swap with a glass of wine on arrival… 

Hosted at REH’s dreamy Fitzroy liquor store there will be mood lighting, candles flickering, jazz and disco records playing, community sipping wine while trying on silky blouses or vintage blazers. 

With more drinks available to buy throughout the night courtesy of REH, come and freshen up your style-in-style.

Date: Saturday 7th of June

Time: 7pm-9pm

Where: 59 Smith Street, Fitzroy 

What’s included in ticket: 

•Participation in the clothing exchange….

Bring between 1 -10 items (Your preloved items - the ones that are too good for the Op Shop but you’re too busy to sell )

•Complimentary glass of wine on arrival 

WHAT IS TRASHIE EXCHANGE ?

The birth of Trashie came from the concept of swapping and sharing clothes. It is too often that clothing gets stored in our wardrobes, and garage and then ultimately ends up in a landfill. Those rare items that might not fit right, that cute top that you love but have worn a few too many times. Those items that you "don't want to give to the op shop". Trashie addresses the need for a middle man in the tale of what do I do with these clothes that I love? We want to introduce an event that allows consumers to swap their loved pieces and gain new and exciting items.

HOW DOES THE SWAP WORK ?

1. You bring 1-10 clothing items.
2. You receive tokens in exchange for your items.
3. You use tokens to shop around the other clothing items that have been brought in to the exchange.
4. When you wish to secure/ swap an item you bring it to the main desk and exchange using your tokens
5. You have the duration of the event to shop the swaps that come in.
6. Tokens not used can be used at any future Trashie
