Learn how to assess the health of the water cycle on your property and successfully implement a landscape rehydration project.

This interactive, hands-on course will empower you to take the best advantage of the water cycle to enhance the resilience and productivity of your rural landscape. Through activities that blend scientific principles and practical skills, you will learn about:

The role and the importance of the water cycle in farming landscapes.
The difference between a healthy and an unhealthy water cycle.
Indicators and drivers of a healthy water cycle.
How to identify and prioritise issues on your property to 'heal your hydrograph'.
How to apply sound planning and design principles to give your Landscape Rehydration project the best chance of success.

The course will introduce you to a range of landscape rehydration strategies and tactics. The Skills Workshop (April, date to be advised) will be hands-on in the field, and involve the demonstration of some small-scale, affordable options. You will need to have attended the two day Bootcamp to develop the necessary planning skills to attend the skills workshop.

What to bring - All meals will be provided during the course of the workshop. Please wear suitable clothing for field based work, including sturdy shoes and a hat, bring sunscreen, a water bottle and pen/notebook for taking notes.
