Reiki Level 1 (Shoden) is the beginning of your Reiki journey — a practical, hands-on two-day training designed to teach you how to use Reiki confidently for yourself, family and friends.

Held at My Wellness Academy in Gosnells, Perth, this small-group Reiki training is taught by Michelle McIntyre, Reiki Master-Teacher and holistic wellness educator, with an emphasis on personal practice, understanding what you are doing and developing confidence through experience.

No previous Reiki or energy-healing experience is required.

Classes are intentionally kept small so there is time for questions, individual guidance and practical experience.

Across the two days, you'll explore:

• What Reiki is and how it is used
• The history and foundations of the Reiki system
• Reiki principles and personal practice
• How to give Reiki to yourself
• How to offer Reiki to family and friends
• Hand positions and practical treatment techniques
• Working with Reiki safely, responsibly and with consent
• Practical exercises and plenty of hands-on practice

You'll also receive your Reiki Level 1 attunement as part of the training.

Michelle McIntyre is a multi-award finalist, Reiki Master-Teacher and holistic wellness educator with more than a decade of experience in Reiki, holistic wellness and practitioner education. She is the founder of My Wellness Academy, an IICT Premier Training Provider based in Perth, Western Australia.

Her approach to Reiki education is practical, grounded and supportive, with an emphasis on personal practice, ethical application and giving students the skills and confidence to continue developing after their training

This training is ideal if you want to learn Reiki for your own wellbeing and personal practice, or to support family and friends.

If your goal is to eventually work professionally with Reiki clients, Reiki Level 1 provides the foundation before progressing to Reiki Level 2 (Okuden).
