About the Venue
Bancoora-in
“Find your energy, away from everyday life, in nature’s beauty.”
Luxuriously appointed guest rooms, each with a private Japanese style garden. Floating King size bed, with Granite Bath, Tatami flooring, stone, glass and cedar will make you feel like you have left the country within an hour of departing Melbourne.
A guest book will help you navigate this region to make the most of your time away. Bancoora-in is located 2 minutes from Breamlea beach on the doorstep of the Great Ocean Road and Surf Coast, 10 mins from Torquay and 40 minutes from the Queenscliff ferry (to Sorrento). Please Note: No Children or Pets allowed.
We have created from earth, wood, nature and human creativity, luxurious Japanese inspired rooms to calm and inspire you. Our Rooms have the charm and style of traditional Japan and yet have the modern convenience of the west.
Each spacious – 12 Tatami mat – room has it’s own ensuite, large black granite bath and bidet. The room includes your Engawa table & chairs and walk in wardrobe. The king-size bed is handmade, floating above the tatami mat floor.
There are four rooms each opening to a private courtyard garden. You may enter via the main corridor or through the garden. Your room is much more, the bedroom itself, the Engawa or interior alcove with tea /coffee facilities, microwave and table and chairs. The bathroom features the large granite bath and separate and private toilet and bidet. The front door opens to a entry hallway within the Courtyard Compound and the rooms have passive solar heating as well as reverse cycle cooling. The rooms are complete spaces in their own right.
