Elevating the Discourse:Â Immerse yourself in an unparalleled, inspiring evening at NBRS' upcoming event, hosted as part of the Melbourne Regenerative Design Forum. Prepare to be captivated as we delve into the heart of nature and Country connections.
Our quest for knowledge began with a transformative workshop last September. Together, we journeyed through the landscape of biophilic design attributes and the nuanced realm of Healthy Building, all while unravelling the intricacies of Inclusive Urban Biodiversity.
Upon arrival, connect and refuel with refreshments, setting the stage for a retrospective on last year's biophilic design workshop. This immersive recap sets the stage for exploring the innovative application of the inspiring world of Mycelium. Gyungju Chyon, a design expert from Monash University, will unveil a breathtaking array of prototypes and boundless opportunities, pushing the boundaries of design innovation. Later, co-design expert Sarah Naarden takes us on an intellectual journey exploring Connecting to Country: Decolonizing through Decarbonizing, delving into the fusion of cultural reclamation and environmental stewardship, guided by indigenous wisdom. Join us as tradition and progress converge, guided by indigenous knowledge, on a transformative path forward.
Register:Â Join us at this exclusive event, where design boundaries are redefined and nature's blueprint is unveiled.

Gyungju Chyon is a lecturer in Spatial Design at Monash University. Prior to Monash, she was an Assistant Professor of MFA Industrial Design and BFA Product Design at Parsons School of Design In New York. Through engaging natural phenomena and experimenting with materiality, she seeks more profound and meaningful connections with our world. Working between installations and product design, Little Wonder has collaborated with international companies such as Rosenthal (DEU), Interface (USA), Duravit (DEU), Emotis (FRA), and Lucifer Lighting (USA). The work has been internationally awarded and exhibited in Europe, America and Asia.
Sarah Naarden is a trans-disciplinary designer, architect and educator co-evolving sustainability with regenerative design. Sarah is a Victorian Design Review panel member for the Office of Victorian Government Architects and coordinates the First Nations Trust Building Program with Initiatives of Change. In 2015, Sarah founded Design Think Lab to create place-making projects like The Monash Health Aboriginal Healing Garden in a co-design process with Traditional Owners. Sarah is curating Regenerating the Kooyongkoot, a micro-festival with Kulin Nation-led workshops and ecology tours. It intends to initiate community partnerships along the 30 km biodiversity masterplan proposal for Gardiners Creek.
