REIMAGINED was an idea conceived in late 2023 by Louise Gore (piano/keyboards) & Oscar Eager (trumpet), in Bellingen.
REIMAGINED presents songs by Paul McCartney, John Lennon & George Harrison in newly reworked formats for a quintet.
Lillie O’Rourke (vocals), Memo Beltzer (electric bass) and Otis Lyons (drumkit/percussion) quickly became the other original members of the quintet.
The group performed their first 2 shows to sell-out audiences at the end of 2023, earning universal acclaim from all present.
All the quintet members are dedicated jazz/improvising musicians with extensive performance experience & skill.
Oscar, Lillie, and Otis are graduates of jazz/contemporary music programmes at universities in Sydney & Melbourne; Memo is a thoroughly expert bass player originally from Argentina, and Louise has a long career as a pianist, composer & arranger.
The group bring their strong musicianship, as well as the influences of their diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, to bear upon the much-loved songs of The Beatles - exploring the original songs, and reimagining them in a new light.
