Format

This is a hybrid workshop with a focus on writing craft; it will be held in-person at State Library of Queensland and live streamed to an online audience via Zoom. This workshop is suitable for writers of all level, ages and backgrounds.

About Lauren

A Bram Stoker Award® finalist, L. E. DANIELS has a BA and an MFA in Creative Writing. She is an American author, poet, and an editor of over 140 titles. Lauren’s novel, Serpent’s Wake: A Tale for the Bitten (Interactive Publications) is a Notable Work with the Horror Writers Association’s Mental Health Initiative. She edited Aiki Flinthart’s legacy anthology, Relics, Wrecks and Ruins (CAT) with Geneve Flynn, which won the 2021 Aurealis Award. With Christa Carmen, she edited the 2022 Aurealis finalist We are Providence (Weird House Press) and the 2024 release, Monsters in the Mills (Interactive Publications). Recent publications include the “Silk” in Hush, Don’t Wake the Monster (Twisted Wing Productions), “Darkness Repeats” in Monsters in the Mills, and “Hangman’s Coming” in Where the Silent Ones Watch (Hippocampus Press). She is an Australian Shadows Awards finalist for her poetry and runs Brisbane Writers Workshop.
