    Reimagining the World Without Corruption
    A compilation of global initiatives to fight against corruption

    Examine the effect and history of corruption in our upcoming seminar featuring the book ‘Reimagining the World Without Corruption’. Author Mon Brea discusses the nature of corruption - its definition, origin, causes, effects, and the different ways that it can manifest. He also compiles the various initiatives that the international community is undertaking to fight corruption. Among the initiatives covered in this book are the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC), the UN Stolen Asset Recovery Initiative, as well as studies and publications such as World Bank's Taxing Crimes.

    Abrea presents his proposal for a framework of governance to address this widespread issue and empowers others to take and demand action.

    About the speaker: Author Mon Abrea, CPA, MBA is the Co-Chair of the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Task Force on Paying Taxes in the Philippines. He holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, where he earned credits for courses he took at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School. He also holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Ateneo de Manila University and a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy at San Beda University.
