WHO ARE REJOICE?

Rejoice Gospel Choir is a community of singers taking part in the rich tradition of gospel choir music and bringing it to the community of Sydney’s Inner & South West. The founders, Tash & Luke are passionate about the message of gospel music which is about moving through uncertainty and pain with hope, faith and joy.

Rejoice has sold out the Factory Theatre, performed on live television and always manages to get the crowd dancing.

We acknowledge the history of gospel music, born out of the oppression of African American people and drawing on the long and rich history of African group singing. We are committed to learning from the people, communities and experiences that shaped gospel music and its message of resilient hope. We also acknowledge the Gadigal and Wangal people, whose land we meet and sing on, traditional Custodians of the land on which we will meet, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

There will be no food or drink available at the venue. Leichhardt has an array of dinner options.
