What makes the difference with those clients who are hardest to reach?

More often than not it's not the tool that you use, but the quality of your presence.

This series helps you develop exactly that, through easy to learn, practical embodiment tools.

As a result you will feel more resourced in your work, so that you are better able to work with challenging clients.

It can also help you to take your work to a deeper level. Each session is one step on that journey.

Session 1: The Embodied Practitioner

What does it mean to work from the body and why does it matter for coaches, therapists, and space-holders? This session is an accessible, experiential entry point into embodied practice. You will leave with tools you can use straight away, both in your own life and in your work with others.

Led by Ruth Friedman, this two-hour workshop creates a warm, safe, and empowering learning environment . You will have space to connect with others in the room and practise what you learn immediately.

About this session

So much of what we bring to our work with others lives in the body. Yet most professional training focuses almost entirely on the mind. This session begins to change all that.

Ruth will introduce you to relational and embodiment practices. These drawn on Focusing (developed by philosopher and psychologist Eugene Gendlin) and Circling. These are not abstract ideas, but practical tools you can start using straight away.

The overall intention is to help you access your own body's wisdom in a way that informs you and your work with groups and clients. Not only will this have a positive impact on the people you work with. It will also help you show up more authentically and bring more of yourself to your work with clients . You will no longer need to feel that you have to leave your own experience at the door.

The 2-hour session blends short presentations guided experiential exercises and partner work. You will leave with practices you can use straight away. Sessions are held in a warm, supportive atmosphere where all levels of experience are welcome.
