This powerful 3-hour workshop utilises yoga nidra (psychic sleep) and meditation on the chakras (energy vortexes), with Radhe.

Radhe is a Level 4 NZ Yoga teacher with over 35 years experience in teaching yoga, relaxation and meditation.

She is a karma sannyasin (householder swami) and a trustee of Shraddha Yoga and Meditation, a registered charitable (non-profit) trust.

Radhe (Swami Anandaradha Saraswati) is passionate about imparting the yoga nidra technique, having delivered it in many venues over the decades. You will see a few recordings made by her on YouTube and on the Shraddha Yoga and Meditation facebook page.

Quotes on yoga nidra and meditation from Swami Satyananda:

"For complete relaxation you must remain aware. This is Yoga Nidra, the state of dynamic sleep."

"Yoga nidra is the yoga of aware sleep. In this lies the secret of self healing. Yoga Nidra is a pratyahara [sense withdrawal] technique in which the distractions of the mind are contained and the mind is relaxed."

"Meditational practices are an excellent method of confronting the complexes, phobias and conflicts which are hidden in the usually inaccessible recesses of the unconscious part of the mind".

Swami Satyananda

In order to begin to experience the stages (and ultimate truly relaxed bliss) of yoga nidra or those stages leading to the state of meditation, one first attains the state of sense withdrawal and moves into a state of concentrated awareness. The chakras, or energy vortexes, are intimately involved in this.

This afternoon workshop will include a long yoga nidra practice with chakra visualisation

Bring cushions and a covering to spread over yourself, as well as your yoga mat. You may even want to bring a thin mattress for added comfort. Handouts are provided for reference at home.
