Help support the success of UWA's biggest fundraiser in semester 2 - Relay for Life UWA! We're looking for passionate events volunteers to support the running of this MASSIVE two-day event this October. Multiple Shifts available!
About Relay for Life UWA:
Relay for Life UWA is the premier community event at the UWA Student Guild, bringing together clubs, faculty societies, staff and community groups to give back to the Western Australian community.
Relay for Life UWA bring together students from all clubs, faculty societies and colleges, as well as teams made up of members from the local community. The event holds a special place in the Guild calendar, with many groups recruiting Team Captains and fundraising months in advance of the event - a little competition, all for a great cause.
Your Role:
Activities will include helping with set-up/ pack-down, running the sausage sizzle and helping with logistics on the day.
Event Details
Date: Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October
Location: UWA Crawley Campus, Riley Oval
Other: Each shift's volunteers will receive a volunteering t-shirt and snacks. Please wear weather-appropriate attire and flat, enclosed shoes.
Choose from Multiple Shifts:
Set Up Volunteers | Saturday 7am - 10am | 5 volunteers for setting up track bunting/blow up archway 10 volunteers for marquee set up |

Usher Volunteers | Saturday 9am - 12pm Saturday 9.30am- 10.30am | 2 volunteers to usher people from Reid/college side of UWA to Riley Oval 2 volunteers to usher people where to safely leave the oval |
Refreshment Volunteers | Saturday 12pm - 2pm | 2 volunteers to help with set up of equipment (ie bbq, bringing food over, etc) 3 volunteers to help with serving of sausage sizzle in the morning |
Activities Volunteers | Saturday 12pm - 2pm Saturday 1pm - 4pm Saturday 5pm - 9pm Saturday 11pm - 2am | 2 volunteers to help with smooth running of craft hours/clubs at chill out zone 3 volunteers to help out with sports hour 2 volunteers to help out with tug of war 1 volunteers to help with scav hunt 4 volunteers to help out with quiz hour, line dancing and candlelight ceremony (bringing people in, helping with ceremony) 2 volunteers to help out with Zoopa Doopa handouts (11pm – 12am), craft hour (12am – 1am) and glow stick distribution (1am – 2am) |
Pack Down Volunteers | Sunday 8am - 12pm | 15 volunteers packing everything up! From marquee tent decorations/helping CCWA where needed |
