Release Through Mark Making is a meditative art experience designed to help you release energy and reconnect with your creative self.

What to expect?

We will begin with gentle yoga asanas to prepare the body for intuitive flow followed by a short meditation with Usha from Yoga in Daily Life.

From there, we will transition into guided expressive mark-making with Ray—free from rules or expectations—as a way to explore emotion, sensation, and movement through art.

The experience will close with a warm cup of chai and a group reflection.

This is a safe, supportive space open to all levels—no art or yoga experience needed.

All materials will be provided.

Come as you are, and give yourself permission to feel, create, and connect—no pressure, just presence.

Ray Haikal - Ray is a Lebanese-born artist based in Meanjin (Brisbane). His practice centres on playful explorations of abstract visual expression, guided by the energy of emotions, memories, and music. Each brushstroke is an intentional act—free from attachment to outcome. Through layered compositions that move away from imagery and reference, Ray focuses on the meditative process of art-making rather than the final aesthetic result

Usha - Usha has been a dedicated yoga and meditation teacher with Yoga in Daily Life for over 13 years and is a certified instructor with Yoga Australia. Her mission is to share the wisdom of her Guruji - Vishwaguru Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda - helping others cultivate health, peace, harmony, and spiritual growth in their daily lives.
