Musical Delights and Fascinating History

Violist Robert Harris who recently became a Gunning “local” after performing in senior and prominent roles around the world, is joined by Canberra pianist Aaron Chew in honouring Anzac Day with a program of popular, familiar Classics by great composers who served in yet survived the First World War.  They will bring you:

  • Greensleeves and more by Ralph Vaughan Williams
  • Love's Sorrow & Toy Soldiers March by Fritz Kreisler
  • Pavane and Menuet by Maurice Ravel
  • Music of Mourning by Paul Hindemith
  • Londonderry Air & Country Gardens by Percy Grainger
  • Spirituals & Jamaican Rumba by Arthur Benjamin
