Remembrance: An Embodiment Concert with Mokshajyoti
Description
Remembrance: An Embodiment Concert with Mokshajyoti
Sunday, August 23, 2026 | 7-9 PM
Rhythm Seed Farm | Portland, Oregon
As summer begins its slow turn toward autumn and the days grow shorter, we gather beneath the open sky to remember something ancient. Remembrance is an immersive outdoor concert journey through sound, voice, rhythm, movement, and stillness, inviting us to reconnect with the timeless language of being human.
Mokshajyoti will weave together sacred mantra and Eastern chanting practices, Yoga of Sound, Bengali devotional and ecstatic folk traditions, kirtan, improvisational voice, participatory singing and drumming, somatic meditation, movement, silence, and deep listening.
The heart of Remembrance is an invitation to rediscover the sounds that exist beyond words: the sigh, the hum, the heartbeat, the spontaneous voice, and the collective rhythm. Through these practices, we remember our voices as belonging to each of us, and sound as one of our oldest ways of gathering, healing, celebrating, and connecting.
About Mokshajyoti
Mokshajyoti is a multi-instrumentalist artist, vocalist, mentor, sound healing practitioner, and embodiment guide. Rooted in her Indian and Bengali heritage, she creates prayer-like musical experiences weaving her powerful, earthy voice with sacred mantra, Eastern chanting practices, Yoga of Sound, Bengali devotional and ecstatic folk traditions, kirtan, improvisational sound, and somatic embodiment practices. Her intention is simple: to invite a return to the rawness of human expression and a remembrance of our belonging to something greater than ourselves.
