Event description

Independent publishing has a rich and storied history, marked by the communities who have used these texts to lift their voices. The workshop will include a brief presentation and discussion on the history and culture of zines and other modes of independent publishing. We’ll then launch into a demonstration of some basic zine making and bookbinding techniques. The guided workshop runs for an hour (11:00-12:00), but the space will remain open for a further hour, during which GRANNTs daily lunch will be held, and you will be welcome to participate in the meal, or just continue to work on your project from the workshop. Materials will be provided.
