Event description

Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just starting out, this full-day workshop is designed to refresh, inspire, and elevate your celebrant practice. Renowned educator Winnie Duggan will lead engaging sessions on modern trends, hands-on workshops exploring rituals and storytelling, and provide opportunities to connect with fellow celebrants over a networking lunch.

Proudly hosted by the Hawke’s Bay / East Coast Branch Committee, this event is open to all celebrants—whether you specialise in weddings, funerals, or any other type of ceremony. We warmly welcome celebrants from outside the region to join us for this valuable opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired.

A special thanks to Howard & Gannon Funerals, Taradale, for generously providing the venue.

This workshop aligns with several Celebrants Aotearoa Body of Knowledge (BOK) Competencies if you are working towards achieving or renewing VCANZ accreditation. Here’s how:

  • BOK 1: Professional Practice – Develop skills to build rapport with clients, design meaningful ceremonies, and understand the role of a celebrant within professional boundaries. (BOK 1.3, 1.4, 1.6, 1.8)
  • BOK 2: Professional Knowledge – Gain insights into best practices and ethical considerations in celebrancy. (BOK 2.2, 2.3)
  • BOK 3: Professional Engagement – Participate in professional learning, connect with peers, and engage in ongoing development to enhance your celebrant practice. (BOK 3.1, 3.3)

Don’t miss this chance to gain fresh insights, refine your skills, and bring new energy to your ceremonies!
