Event description

Renewable Energy Storage for the Home:

Home, Community and Electric Vehicle Batteries

Exploring the Future of Energy Storage and Smart Networks

Join us for an engaging session on the evolving world of battery storage, from the latest in home battery systems to how electric vehicles can power your home or community through Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) technologies.

With the rollout of the Cheaper Home Batteries Program from July 1, there's never been a better time to explore your options.

This session will cover:

  • The benefits and challenges of installing a home battery

  • How EVs can store and supply energy

  • The role of community and pole-top batteries in stabilising local networks

  • Opportunities to join or create Virtual Power Plants and smart local energy networks

  • How household and community storage connects with the broader electricity distribution network

Whether you are a homeowner, renter, community group, installer or simply curious about where our energy future is heading, this session is for you.
