Month two of Creative Repair Kit. The floods have cut the roads, the shelves are empty — and it's your group's job to design the fix, together, with no digital tools to fall back on.

Human skills like negotiation, resourcefulness, and shared decision-making are exactly what get a community through a food crisis — not an app.

What

The floods have cut the transport links. Deliveries stop, and shelves empty within days.

So what

Food systems look solid until one link breaks, and then the people with the least access are hit first and hardest.

Food sovereignty means communities having real control over how they feed themselves.

That takes systems thinking to see where the weak points are, and human skills to fix them: negotiation, resourcefulness, and fair shared decision-making.

Now what

In groups of 3, you'll map where food actually flows in a community, including shops, food banks, allotments, and community fridges, and find where it fails. Then you'll turn everyday objects into a working mobile food-share station, and pitch and test it live.

It follows directly from December's flood sprint, but it stands alone. No prior event needed.
