Report launch: "If I couldn’t garden, I wouldn’t enjoy life": Older adults’ perspectives on housing and gardening
Event description
There is strong evidence that gardening is good for our health and wellbeing, and older adults may benefit greatly from this activity. But we know surprisingly little about how people's housing enables or restricts their gardening. This new report presents results from a survey of adults aged 50+ in Victoria and NSW. We investigated the relationship between people's housing situations and their gardening practices, including their aspirations, challenges, and needs.
Please join us for the launch of the research report “If I couldn’t garden, I wouldn’t enjoy life”: Older adults’ perspectives on housing and gardening. This is the result of a research partnership between Swinburne University of Technology and the Botanic Gardens of Sydney.
At this event, the report authors will discuss some of the project findings, followed by an audience Q&A. Printed copies of the report will be available.
The event will take place in the Ethel Room, Level 1 of the Hawthorn Hotel.
Lunch will be provided, so please register if you plan to attend.
