Despite years of focus on the gender funding gap, Australia still lacks consistent data on how opportunities move through the investment ecosystem - including who applies, who progresses, and where women and other underrepresented founders fall out of the pipeline.

Over the past year, Equity Clear has convened more than 160 stakeholders across venture capital, government, startups, accelerators and the broader innovation ecosystem to explore how Australia can move toward more consistent investor diversity reporting and better ecosystem data infrastructure.

The report sets out a proposed national roadmap toward shared standards, stronger evidence and more effective funding systems - helping the ecosystem better understand where opportunities may be overlooked or lost across the investment pipeline.
