Show us the Data: National Report & Sector Briefing
A New Era of Investor Diversity Reporting
Join investors, founders, government and ecosystem leaders for the Sydney launch of Show us the Data: From Anecdote to Evidence - a landmark national report exploring the future of investor diversity reporting in Australia.
Despite years of focus on the gender funding gap, Australia still lacks consistent data on how opportunities move through the investment ecosystem - including who applies, who progresses, and where women and other underrepresented founders fall out of the pipeline.
Over the past year, Equity Clear has convened more than 160 stakeholders across venture capital, government, startups, accelerators and the broader innovation ecosystem to explore how Australia can build more consistent investor diversity reporting and stronger data infrastructure.
The report sets out a proposed national roadmap toward shared standards, stronger evidence and more effective funding systems - helping the ecosystem better understand where opportunities may be overlooked or lost across the investment pipeline.
Where the Sector is Heading
Globally, expectations around investor diversity reporting are evolving rapidly.
This briefing will explore:
๐ what better visibility across investor pipelines could unlock
๐ how the proposed pilot phase could shape future reporting practices
๐ and how Australia can build more effective and evidence-based funding systems
Because the real risk for investors isnโt backing difference - itโs never seeing it.
