REPRISE: East High Documentary Film
Event description
East High School stands proudly in the heart of Denver, towering above Colfax Avenue - a monument to education, diversity, the arts and athletics. It was the city’s first high school and 150 years later it’s still on the cutting edge, both academically and culturally.
"Angel Power!" is an engaging documentary film that marks the 150th anniversary of East High – founded in 1875, and the Centennial of its 1925 historic landmark building. Director Robert Dean (Class of 1972) and his team have conducted dozens of interviews with alumni, faculty, and students from all generations, weaving together their memories with a rich collection of historical footage, home movies, photos and location shots to tell the East High story. Narrated by noted Denver news anchor, Adele Arakawa.
REPRISE! The film premiered in September for East's 150th Celebration. By popular demand, we are showing it again for those who missed it or want to see a repeat performance. Join us for this showing in the historic East Auditorium, together with a live conversation with the film crew.
