Discover the amazing world of reptiles and the vital role they play in our ecosystem! Join us for a fun, family-friendly celebration where you’ll learn how to safely interact with these fascinating creatures and explore why they’re so important to Florida’s natural habitats.

Enjoy a variety of hands-on activities, including:

  • What to do if you encounter a gopher tortoise

  • Getting up close with live reptiles

  • Exploring a gopher tortoise burrow

Step inside the NEST building for even more reptile-themed fun—puzzles, puppets, and a creative craft project await!

Meet local organizations and experts from Jerry’s Wildlife, Anna Maria Island Turtle Watch, Bishop Muesuem of Science and Nature, and more as they share their passion for conservation and education.

Don’t miss this exciting day of discovery and celebration of reptiles and the remarkable habitats they call home.
