About the Class:

The Creative Wellness Workshop is a series guided by Makala Aayana, where art meets mindfulness. These workshops are the perfect event for everyone-- beginners and seasoned artists alike. In this creative wellness workshop, we design mindfulness journals. Participants are encouraged to connect with others and use the time as a way to nurture mental and emotional well-being through creativity. About the Artist: Makala Aayana

Makala Aayana (b. 1998) is a sustainable, multidisciplinary artist based in Durham, North Carolina, who wholeheartedly embraces the power of art to foster community, explore identity, and spark meaningful conversations. With a diverse range of artistic mediums at her disposal, including acrylic painting and printmaking, Makala brings her unique perspective and creative energy to every project she undertakes.
