Community Grant Writing Workshop

If you would like the opportunity to develop new grant writing skills or brush up on your existing ones, Merriwa & District Chamber of Commerce & Industry is hosting this workshop in partnership with Upper Hunter Shire Council.

This workshop will cover:

-   Getting your project shovel ready

-   Identifying the grant opportunities for your project

-   Introduction to SmartyGrants platform

-   Writing your grant (includes responding to questions and preparing your budget and funding request)

-   Understanding common grant agreements and requirements

-   Managing your grant

Who should do this workshop?

-   Representatives from:

o   Community groups

o   P&C Associations

o   Sporting clubs

o   Charitable organisations

Jacqui Bakewell has been writing grants for over 20 years and has worked for Upper Hunter Shire Council as their Grants Officer since 2016.  Jacqui has supported many local organisations with their grant applications and has worked across a broad range of grants.
