Tjilbruke/Tjirbruki Dreaming Track Walks with Karl Winda Telfer

Join Burka-Senior Man Karl Winda Telfer, wisdom holder of the Song of the Tjilbruke/Tjirbruki Dreaming Track. Listen and understand the Dreaming Track's significance and its cultural and spiritual renewal, led by Karl's late mother, Nganki Burka Mekauwe-Senior Woman of Water. Participants will learn about the local cultural markers (cairns) marking the Dreaming Track and experience a story walk along the beach.

Dates /Times:

Monday 18th March, 6 pm - 8 pm 

Tuesday 19th March, 9.00 am - 11 am

Saturday 6th April, 10.00 am - 12.00 pm

Location: Gold Coast Drive, Carrickalinga. Meet in the upper carpark, south of Lyddon Road.

Cost: $20 per person (this event is subsidised by the Fleurieu Environment Centre and District Council of Yankalilla). 

This event is held on Kaurna Meyunna Yerta. Cultural protocols for this event include no filming or recording of cultural education by Burka-Senior Man Karl Winda Telfer (photos permitted).
