Rescued & Reimagined: Collaborative wearable art with Upcycle Newcastle

This workshop focuses on the creative potential of old jeans and a basic denim jacket. Using techniques of seams weaving, piecing, applique and reverse applique, we’ll create new from old – a long line jacket and a full length coat.

Join the Upcycle Newcastle team for a unique collaborative workshop experience at the Clyde Street Arts Precinct as part of Rescued & Reimagined and NMPM: ReFashionista. More than just a creative exercise, these workshops explore sustainability, circular economy, renewal, and the beauty of reinvention.

Over the course of 24 workshops, we will be creating multiple wearable artworks that will be showcased at the free NMPM: ReFashionista event, Newcastle Museum on Thursday 19th June, 5-9pm
