Resistance: A Gaza Fundraiser

You're invited to join us in the Acid Arch in McChuills on Friday 11th December for a night of music and dancing in support of Gaza.

100% of proceeds will be donated to several initiatives that are directly supporting the 1.8 million people under siege in the Gaza Strip, who are right now enduring the harshest conditions imaginable and have nowhere to escape to - a severe winter looms and over 80% of the population are displaced and living in tents.

With countless massacres taking place in Gaza since the so-called "ceasefire" last year and the entry of aid being more restricted than ever, a few like-minded DJs have come together to pool their talents in an effort to urgently raise some much needed funds for three initiatives that each carry out humanitarian work against all odds:

Ele Elna Elak (a charity providing food, clothing and water throughout the Strip), Pal-Humanity (an initiative founded in the north of Gaza by two female doctors with the aim of distributing medical aid, hygiene kits, menstrual supplies and baby formula) and Yahya & Friends Mutual Aid (a mutual aid initiative facilitating soup kitchens when it can and currently focussing on distributing water which is much needed since the IDF have destroyed dozens of the Strip's de-salination plants leading to a critical drinking-water crisis).

On the night, music will be provided by DJs Anna Gram (Lezzer Quest), GK Machine (Wrong Party) and Speedy (Radio Buena Vida). We will also hear a few words from local student Mohammed from Gaza who came here to study his PhD but has many family members remaining trapped in Gaza.

Ticket price is pay whatever you want, with a minimum of £5, no maximum. Whatever you feel most comfortable with. If you can't attend the event but would like to donate, there is the option of donating to the cause without buying a ticket.

Capacity is strictly limited to 100.
