Reskillience Live Podcast – The Art of Release. Catie Payne with guests Mara Ripani & Natasha Morgan
Description
Three local women. Two new books. One conversation.
Local writer, artist and podcaster Catie Payne brings her podcast Reskillience to the stage for a live recording, joined by two fellow locals: Mara Ripani, author of The Baker's Percentage, and Natasha Morgan, author of The Productive Garden Companion.
Pull up a chair and listen in as these three friends and neighbours talk honestly about the creative life – the thrill of holding your book for the first time, the agony of knowing when to let go and the joy of sharing knowledge right where you live.
This is a rare chance to witness a podcast being made – raw, real and local.
Come listen, come learn.

Meet Catie
Catie Payne is a freelance writer, independent podcaster and goat wrangler in Dja Dja Wurrung Country, Central Victoria. She hosts Reskillience, a top 2.5% podcast which broadcasts rallying convos for rugged times, more often than not mentioning permaculture. Back in the day she trained as a naturopath and herbalist, and is a keen steward of the medicinal weeds in her garden. Her professional experience as an ad agency copywriter has been upcycled into “selling” people on the wonders of Mother Earth, and why to love the small, stumbling steps back in her direction.

Meet Mara
Mara Ripani is a cooking teacher with Village Dreaming, her Artisanal Cooking School in the Central Highlands. An avid kitchen gardener and custodian of a productive fruit and berry orchard, she has been preserving food for the past 15 years. Mara migrated to Australia from Italy in the 1980s. At her 15-acre property ORTO, she delivers farm tours, permaculture intensives and classes in sourdough bread baking, home-made pasta, fermenting, preserving and charcuterie. She recently published her first book, The Baker's Percentage, with Smith Street Books.

Meet Natasha
Natasha Morgan is a landscape architect, urban designer, and passionate advocate for productive, seasonally-minded gardens . Her career includes work on significant projects like The Australian Garden, Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne, and over a decade of teaching experience . A celebrated public speaker and workshop teacher , Natasha distils her expertise in her new book, The Productive Garden Companion. This 448-page guide is a beautifully practical resource for creating gardens of beauty and abundance, proving that living well with the land is possible at any scale.
