Resonance Choir invites you to join us for an afternoon of uplifting choral music at our Spring Concert:
Goodbye to Winter: Schubert in the Spring.
Under the direction of Barbara Paterson and accompanied by Emma Sayers, Resonance will present a programme of beautiful and uplifting music, featuring guest soloists Barbara Graham, Richard Taylor, and Joshua Jamieson.

Our programme explores themes of hope, comfort and renewal:
He Waiata Matariki – A celebration of Matariki, reflecting remembrance, connection and new life.
Schubert Mass in G Major – The centrepiece of the concert, Schubert's radiant and much-loved masterpiece, combines youthful energy with profound beauty.
An die Musik – Schubert's heartfelt tribute to the comfort and inspiration that music brings.
This Little Light of Mine – The beloved spiritual sharing a message of hope and joy.
The Moon is Distant from the Sea – A lyrical and contemplative setting of Emily Dickinson's poetry.
The Seal Lullaby – Eric Whitacre's serene and enchanting musical depiction of the sea at night.
Meet the Soloists
Barbara Graham (Soprano) is a celebrated Wellington singer who has performed with New Zealand Opera and as a concert soloist throughout New Zealand and internationally.
Richard Taylor is an experienced choral performer with a background in leading New Zealand vocal ensembles, bringing depth and musicianship to this performance.
Joshua Jamieson (Bass-Baritone) is a Wellington-based singer who performs with Voices New Zealand, The Tudor Consort, and other prominent choral groups.
