Respect 2040 Image Library Launch

Respect 2040 Image Library Launch

Our communities are diverse, and the images we use should reflect that diversity.

Images have the power to either reinforce or challenge stereotypes about gender, age, culture, sexuality and disability. The Respect 2040 Image Library has been developed to support organisations across Barwon South West with authentic, inclusive and locally relevant images that better reflect the people and places of our region.

The library has been informed by consultation with people from diverse communities across Barwon South West, ensuring imagery is respectful, representative and aligned with how people want to be seen and portrayed.

Join us to celebrate the launch of this valuable regional resource and learn how your organisation can access and use the image library to support inclusive communications, engagement and storytelling.

Date: 9 September

Location: Warrnambool Art Gallery

Whether you work in health, education, local government, community services, sport or the not-for-profit sector, this launch event is an opportunity to explore how inclusive imagery can contribute to more welcoming and equitable communities.

Come along to:

• Learn about the development of the Image Library

• Hear how community voices shaped the project

• View a selection of images from the collection

• Find out how your organisation can access and use the library

• Connect with others committed to inclusion and representation

Together, we can create communications that better reflect the diversity, strength and experiences of our communities.

Thank you to Business and Professional Women South West for supporting this project.
