School Council’s Role in Respectful Relationships
Event description
All parents and caregivers want their children to thrive at school.
Children thrive in safe, respectful and equal environments.
Schools are a key place where children not only reach their academic potential but develop essential social, emotional and psychological skills that set them up for success in later life. This can't happen without a solid partnership with parents and caregivers. Key among the parents and caregivers are the members of the School Council. "A well-informed and effective school council strengthens community confidence in the school and helps to build and secure the school’s reputation."
This webinar is the first of its kind, inviting members of School Councils from across the Southern Metropolitan Region to hear experts from the Department of Education and local community services speak about how a whole of school approach can support your young person, and how YOU can ensure its success as a member of the School Council.
