Full-day in-person workshop
What are challenging behaviours and what makes them challenging? Why are some situations difficult to deal with? This course provides an opportunity to consider your own personal triggers, learn tips on how to manage challenging behaviours and situations, and build self care into your daily work.
The one day workshop will cover:
- Identifying and assessing potentially difficult situations
- Greater self-awareness and personal triggers
- Strategies in managing highly emotional situations
- Effective communication skills when working with aggressive clients
- The importance of building resilience for workers
By the end of this workshop participants will have:
- Recognise and assess potentially difficult situations
- Improved awareness of personal reactions in difficult situations
- Have an understanding of emotional intelligence
- Develop strategies for handling potentially highly emotional situations
- Improve their capacity to deal with hostile and aggressive clients
