Have you tried learning guitar before but never quite got going?
Maybe you’ve watched YouTube videos, learned a few chords, tried apps or lessons, but you’re still wondering what you should actually practice and how to turn all those bits and pieces into playing music.
Or perhaps you’ve never played before and simply don’t know where to start.
Restart Guitar gives you a clear, practical path forward.
What You’ll Learn
Over the five weeks we’ll work on:
✓ Better rhythm and timing
✓ Smoother chord changes
✓ Good playing mechanics and muscle memory
✓ How to practise effectively instead of just playing the same things over and over
✓ The music theory you actually need
✓ How rhythm, melody and harmony work together
✓ Building the confidence to actually play music
The goal isn’t to learn everything about guitar in five weeks.
It’s to build the right foundations so you know what to work on next.
Complete Beginners Are Welcome
You don’t need to read music.
You don’t need to know theory.
And you definitely don’t need to be “good enough” before you come along.
If you’ve never played before, you’re welcome.
If you’ve got a guitar sitting in the cupboard and keep telling yourself you’ll get back to it, you’re welcome too.
Bring your acoustic or electric guitar and we’ll take it from there.
Small Group — Maximum 7 People
This isn’t a lecture. You’ll be playing guitar.
Keeping the group small means I can work with people individually while still giving everyone the experience of learning and playing together.
You’ll also be learning alongside other adults who are starting or restarting, just like you.
Cut Through the YouTube Overload
There’s more guitar information available today than ever before.
That’s not always a good thing.
One video tells you to practice scales. Another says learn songs. Another gives you 20 exercises. Before long, you’ve got plenty of information but no clear direction.
This course is about simplifying that.
We’ll focus on the things that make the biggest difference to your playing and give you a practical way to continue improving after the five weeks are finished.

I’ve been playing guitar for more than 30 years and teach adult guitarists both here in Australia and internationally.
My approach focuses on practical progress particularly rhythm, timing, playing mechanics and helping you understand what to practise next.
I created Restart Guitar specifically for adults who want to learn without feeling overwhelmed or like they have to become music-theory experts first.
