Small Group. Hands-On Learning.
This isn’t a room full of people watching a lecture.
You’ll be playing guitar.
Places are limited to 7 people, keeping the group small enough for individual help while giving you the opportunity to learn and play alongside other guitarists.
We’ll break things down, work at a comfortable pace, answer questions and build on what we’ve learned from week to week.
You Don’t Need to Learn Everything

You don’t need to read music or know music theory. Just bring your guitar and a desire to play.

No. Complete beginners are welcome.
- I used to play years ago. Is this suitable?
Absolutely. Returning guitarists are a big part of what Restart Guitar is about.
- Do I need to bring a guitar?
Yes. Bring your own acoustic or electric guitar.
- Do I need to read music?
No.
- Will we learn music theory?
Yes, but only the practical theory you need to understand what you’re playing.
- Is this a group class?
Yes. Maximum 7 people, so there’s plenty of opportunity for individual help.
- Do you offer private lessons?
Yes. I also offer private one-to-one guitar lessons for adults who would like more personalised help. Lessons can focus on your individual goals, playing technique, rhythm, theory, songs and developing a practice plan that works for you.
Private lessons are available in person in Werribee and online.
