Event description

LET'S CELEBRATE HISTORY!

Experience the thrill of the 1877 Hill & Son Grand Organ, played by Simon Niemiński, one of Australia’s finest organists, in a concert of magnificent music to please all ages.

2024 is the 10th anniversary of the completed Hill & Son Organ restoration in the Barossa Regional Gallery, Tanunda… It will be a buzz! We are thrilled to bring Simon to the console to celebrate SA History Month, where we will be looking back at the incredible journey of the Hill & Son Grand Organ from her original home in Adelaide Town Hall to Tanunda where she has become the centre of music making in the Barossa Valley in preparations for our official celebration launch later in the year.

Simon (pictured) is a brilliant world renowned British/Australian concert organist, recording artist and cathedral musician. He has an “innate musicianship and sensitivity, coupled with prodigious technique”! His selection of works is sure to bring a smile to your face and a tear to your eye through his mastery and true joy in the musical form. His performance is not to be missed!
