In Yoga practice we will be developing body-based ability, strength, pain relief, and coordination to support our capacity to lead fulfilling, independent yet social lives. Furthermore, we will rest and remain in an awareness of our basic goodness as human beings, we will nestle deep into an experience of our bodies on this land. In practice with you, I will be concerned with your total being... with the physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and environmental dimensions of life.
Yoga, the cultivation of awareness; for awareness; by awareness, means "Joining Together", Hatha implies the joining together of the sun and the moon in us (Ha=Sun, tha=Moon). Thus, we practice yoga to become aware of the inherent union that we are, the being within the being. This practice provides an opportunity to consistently rest in the totality of our being, to rest in the fullness of our hearts, to breath an awareness of our basic goodness. thus the practice of yoga will support you in cultivating a harmonious and clear center within you, an order within the chaos.
