Description

Restorative Yoga: Rest & Resonance

An afternoon of deep relaxation, gentle movement and beautiful live music.

Give yourself permission to slow down, unwind and enjoy a little time just for you.

Join us for an afternoon of Restorative Yoga accompanied by the soothing sounds of live cello, singing bowls and other gentle instruments.

Unlike traditional yoga, Restorative Yoga requires virtually no physical effort. Using comfortable, fully supported poses, you'll be gently guided into stretches that encourage your body to relax and release tension. There's no strenuous movement, no need for flexibility and absolutely no experience necessary.

As you settle into each restful pose, let the gentle melodies and calming vibrations of live instruments wash over you, creating a wonderfully immersive experience for the body and mind.

Attend in person or online

We know that attending events in person isn't possible for everyone. That's why this session is available in two ways:

In person – Experience the event in a welcoming, accessible community space.

Online via livestream – Join from the comfort of home if you're housebound, bedbound, managing illness, disability, fatigue, pain, distance or simply prefer to participate remotely.

Whether you join us in the room or from your own space, you'll be part of the same shared experience.

Designed with accessibility in mind

Creating gentle, welcoming and accessible spaces is at the heart of The Gentle Living Project. Furthermore, we're thrilled to welcome to the team Yoga teacher, Kath, who specialises in Accessible Yoga.

You're welcome to sit, lay, wear headphones, change positions and even stop throughout the session. We celebrate different bodies, different minds and different ways of experiencing the world and want everyone to feel comfortable participating in the way that works best for them. Get in contact with us if you have particular needs we can help to acoommodate.

Supporting Emerge Australia

The Gentle Living Project is proud to operate as a fundraising initiative, with 100% of event proceeds donated to Emerge Australia.

Emerge Australia is the national patient organisation supporting people living with ME/CFS and other energy-limiting illnesses through advocacy, education, support and research initiatives.

By attending one of our events, you're not only investing in your own wellbeing—you are directly contributing to improving the lives of thousands of Australians whose illnesses are often misunderstood and under-recognised.

Together, we're building a community that values kindness, inclusion, connection and hope.

Thank you for being part of the journey.
