Restore the Rainforest: Clifton School of Arts Planting Event
Description
Join us behind the Clifton School of Arts for a focused bushcare session in the weedy littoral rainforest corridor at the rear of the gallery. This is a challenging site with uneven terrain and we are seeking experienced bushcarers who feel confident working in more demanding conditions.
We’ll be guided by native plant expert Emma Rooksby from Growing Illawarra Natives and landscape architect Kathryn Morgan from Understory, who will share insights into local species, restoration strategies, and how this small but significant patch contributes to the broader coastal ecosystem. Together, we’ll remove invasive weeds and support the slow regeneration of Illawarra natives. Tools, gloves, plants and guidance provided.
