The week after Easter is a hard act to follow. Good Friday is not just some tragic event, cancelled out by the miracle of Easter; there is an intimate connection between the two. The Resurrection is the pivotal moment, but there is another act to follow…the occasion of the Pentecost where we are invited to put into action the love provided to us by God. Joan McGovern companions others along their spiritual journey, as a board certified Chaplain and Spiritual Director. Trained in Ignatian Spirituality, Joan has facilitated directed retreats, as well as develops days of prayer for local parishes and retreat centers. Facilitating bereavement support groups provides her the opportunity to minister to others while channeling God’s compassion to those experiencing various types of loss. Joan is currently working towards completing her Master’s degree in Theology.
