Learn to make a reusable produce bag
Event description
Are you frustrated with the plastic waste situation? We are too!
Zero Waste Victoria will be at Queen Victoria Market to launch the “Reuse Instead: Low-waste Pledge” campaign. One of the simplest ways to reduce our single-use plastic is to swap out with alternatives that are friendlier for the planet.
Be part of the movement to rethink waste.
In this free drop-in workshop you’ll learn how to make your own reusable produce bag. We'll supply reclaimed fabric, needle and thread, and show you how to make a reusable lightweight bag to use when buying loose fruit and veg.
Our zero waste champions will be on hand to share tips and tricks to help you live a low waste life. For those short on time, we will also be handing out FREE reusable produce bags.
Come along and learn more about our campaign and how you can be part of it. If you’re unable to attend, but would like to be involved in future activities or explore this opportunity further, please email info@zerowastevictoria.org.au.
The Queen Victoria Market is under cover. You’ll find us at Shed D from 11 am to 1:30 pm.
