Are you interested in revegetating your bush block, rural property or suburban garden? Then come along to Nature Conservation Margaret River Region's free Revegetating Your Property workshop and masterclass. It's the latest in our series of events as part of our For Nature Landowner Stewardship Program, designed to help you give nature a helping hand at your place!

At this in-depth, three-hour workshop from 10am-1pm on Sunday, September 5, you'll join Nature Conservation Margaret River Region revegetation expert Drew Mackenzie to learn the tools and know-how to revegetate your block. He'll analyse everything from identifying your objectives, designing a plan, when and how to replant successfully, what species to plant for particular soils and sites, planting density and structure, identifying and controlling weeds, and protecting your plants from pests like rabbits or wildlife including kangaroos, and why revegetating is so important.

Then we'll take a walking tour of Nature Conservation Margaret River Region board member Dr Ann Ward's property on the banks of the Margaret River, to see first-hand how she's put these principles and techniques into practice. Anne has spent several years revegetating her bush block and has plenty of tips to share. Then, workshop participants will have a chance to get their hands dirty and help plant out some native trees and shrubs, putting some of their new-found knowledge to the test!

Tickets are free but numbers are strictly limited to 25, so register to reserve your spot. If you can no longer attend, please let us know ASAP so the spot can be filled by another attendee. Please note: no children under 18 or dogs are permitted. Participants will need to drive to Dr Ward's property, where both the workshop (under cover) and garden tour (outdoors) will take place. This event will proceed even if the weather is inclement - but come prepared with warm clothing, a raincoat and umbrella. Please also bring a notepad and pen to take notes, drinking water, and plenty of questions for our presenters!

Participants must be registered with our For Nature Landholder Stewardship Program to take part in this workshop and garden tour. Registration is free and takes just a couple of minutes.
