Revelations at Church Street

Doors open at 5:30pm for a 6pm start.  

The first in our series of intimate, "revealing" solo improvised concerts.  To kick off 2023, in a dangerous twist, special guest percussion virtuoso and Ensemble Offspring artistic director Claire Edwardes OAM will be welcomed onto the stage "blindfolded" where upon the commencement of the concert, her blindfold will be lifted, thus "Revealing" to Claire for the first time, the personal collection of Sydney based film composer and Church Street founder, Guy Gross' exotic and eclectic percussion library.  Not one to shy away from a challenge, Claire will then "reveal" to the audience her visceral and immediate reaction to new surroundings, new instruments, and a new venue.  We are in for a revealing evening. 

Church Street Studios acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land we occupy, the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
