Reverence 2020 will be themed!
In honour of founder Cam Fraser's Scottish lineage and co-creator Christopher Murphy's Irish lineage, the theme for this year's festival will be "Beltane"
Beltane is the anglicized name for the Gaelic May Day festival, known as Lá Bealtaine in Ireland and Là Bealltainn in Scotland. In the northern hemisphere, it is held on 1 May, about halfway between the spring equinox and the summer solstice. Here in the southern hemisphere, we celebrate it on 31 October, which coincides with weekend of Reverence 2020, the dates of which are 30 October - 1 November.
Celebrating the beginning of Summer, Beltane rituals encourage growth, fertility, and connection to nature. As such, we plan to have a bon fire and communal feast to call in these intentions. Workshops will also be in alignment with this theme and we would love to see people take inspiration from this and dress up as fairies, druids, sprites, and other nature-based creatures (with appropriate respect for Gaelic culture).
Because we're so excited for this year's festival, we've made a few First Round tickets available at the Super Early Bird price, which are available for purchase now. These tickets are extremely limited and will not be this price again. Head to the link below to buy.
We cannot wait to share Reverence 2020 with you! Until then, reminisce by watching this video and stay tuned for more updates.
Big love!
